Who Do We Recommend HubSpot for?
HubSpot’s CRM software is an excellent choice for businesses that are looking for one unified tool to connect with customers, as it combines marketing, sales and customer service functions into one powerful package.
HubSpot is a particularly great choice if you want CRM software that integrates with other software you already use to manage relationships with sales leads and existing customers. Whether you want to link the HubSpot CRM to email services, such as Gmail and Outlook; social media and publishing tools, like Facebook and WordPress; or even other CRM software, you’re likely to find something in HubSpot’s app marketplace, which features over 1,000 integrations.

FYI
Some HubSpot integrations require their own subscriptions or one-time payments, though many others are free to use. Check what options are available to connect with the tools your team is already using or considering.
HubSpot is also a good choice for businesses that are just getting started with CRM software for the first time. The vendor offers a clear onboarding and implementation plan and powerful setup tools, as well as a 30-day free trial. Integrations with other software are beneficial here, too, since you can connect HubSpot to the apps your company is already using rather than starting from scratch. Support through email and chat — as well as phone support for subscribers to higher-end plans — can be helpful for any questions you may have. The company also provides an assortment of online training tools, courses and certifications to help you learn new CRM skills.
One aspect we really love is that HubSpot boasts powerful CRM analytics tools that make it a robust resource for businesses looking to deeply understand their sales pipelines and the sources of their best leads. Users can build dashboards within the HubSpot platform and share them with colleagues to understand how to reach out to customers and leads in the most cost-effective way.

Who Do We Recommend monday for?
We recommend monday to businesses that are interested in combining CRM and project management tools. The vendor’s CRM software includes access to monday’s work management platform, which features collaboration tools, dashboards and interactive visualizations such as timelines, Gantt charts and digital whiteboards.

monday is also an especially valuable tool for companies that are interested in sales force automation, since it includes powerful and easy-to-use features for scheduling and automatically triggering a wide variety of workflows. Some of these tools include integrations with other software, like Mailchimp, Slack and SurveyMonkey. For example, monday can automatically send updates on the status of sales leads via email or Slack.
These workflows are easy to craft without coding, thanks to monday’s automation “recipes” (templates) and drag-and-drop automation-building tools, although you also have the option to use monday’s application programming interface (API) to build your own integrations.
Additionally, monday is a great CRM solution for teams that are looking to explore new CRM approaches. That’s thanks to the system’s template center, which includes pre-built configurations, automations and integrations designed to get your salespeople going with tested approaches for organizing leads, sales campaigns and more. Many of these templates include seamless integrations with other software to let you get going quickly without having to study the nuances of how other tools interact with monday.
Tip
Check monday's templates for any shortcuts or organizational ideas that might make sense for your company.
During our investigation, we noted that all of monday’s plans offer 24/7 customer support, which makes this software a good choice for businesses that operate outside of the standard workday. Even for companies that stick to traditional business hours, it can be a relief to know that assistance is always available when needed.

HubSpot vs. monday Comparison
Pricing
HubSpot
Free tools are available. We were impressed that HubSpot offers a basic set of free tools with no time limit. There’s also no limit on how many users can access HubSpot’s free tools, even if you have a paid plan for other users.
The starter plan starts at $9 per user. HubSpot’s basic plan costs just $9 per user and allows you to pay for as few as two users. That’s a good deal for companies that need only basic features or have just a few employees who need to access the software.
Advanced plans are more costly. Some features, like phone support and the ability to add large customer and lead contact lists, are available only with the Professional and Enterprise plans, which start at $800 and $3,600 per month, respectively. These plans also include mandatory one-time onboarding fees of $3,000 and $6,000, respectively, which can be significant for small businesses.
monday
The Basic plan starts at $10 per user. This plan costs $10 per user and allows you to pay for as few as three users. That’s a bit more expensive than HubSpot’s entry-level plan, but this package includes unlimited contacts, 24/7 customer support and 200+ templates.
The Pro plan is $24 per user. We were impressed that Monday’s Pro plan — which includes features such as custom automations and integrations with 25,000 automated actions per month, sales forecasting and analytics features — starts at only $24 per user, although you must pay for at least 24 user seats.
The Enterprise plan requires a sales call. To sign up for monday’s highest-level offering, which includes features such as HIPAA compliance and the ability to score sales leads, you must contact monday’s sales team for a quote. This is fairly common for enterprise software, however.

monday
monday offers more affordable pricing for many small businesses. The company's inexpensive plans include features such as 24/7 customer support, unlimited contacts, and automations with thousands of triggers per month. You'll have to pay a lot more to get a comparable package with HubSpot.
