ZAGGkeys Keyboard Cover Transforms the iPad Air into a Laptop

A new keyboard cover from ZAGG lets you view your iPad screen from nearly any angle — just like a laptop. The ZAGGkeys Cover features a sturdy, adjustable hinge on its back edge; just snap in your iPad Air and get to work. The accessory differs from other Bluetooth-enabled keyboards for iPad Air, which use a kickstand to prop up the tablet and offer just one or two viewing angles for typing. The ZAGGkeys cover supports the iPad Air with the hinge alone, and allows users to tilt the display to sit at any angle.

That’s a big plus for business users who need to stay productive on the go. The keyboard’s design doesn’t just allow for a wide range of viewing angles — it also eliminates the need for a cumbersome kickstand that’s difficult to balance on your lap. The keyboard base is weighted to keep your iPad Air upright even when the screen is tilted very far back. It gives the iPad Air the same versatile form factor as a laptop, and makes it easier to work on in a confined space.

Like a laptop, the iPad Air, coupled with the ZAGGkeys Cover, closes in a clamshell design to protect the tablet’s screen. It also comes in the ZAGGkeys Folio variant, which protects the back of your iPad while adding a bit of bulk to the overall package. Meanwhile, the nearly full-size keys are responsive and backlit. As with other iPad Air keyboards, typists who are used to a standard keyboard may find that the ZAGG accessory feels a bit cramped.
