HP creates hardware and solutions for SMBs and enterprises, including color copiers, printers, laptops, desktops and displays. HP's technology is applicable to all industries, with clients in government, healthcare, finance and more. While its products are suitable for individuals, the company creates a range of color copier and printers that are designed for the small and midsize business market as well as enterprises.

The HP PageWide Enterprise Color Flow MFP 586z offers great value at an attractive price point. For larger workgroups that have high print and copy volumes, this multifunction printer can churn through your copy demands.

The HP PageWide Enterprise Color Flow MFP 586z will cost your small business $2,799.99. You can buy it online directly from HP.com or from authorized resellers. Leasing services, or managed print services, may also be an option for your company. Note that the standard warranty that comes with your purchase only lasts 90 days. The warranty period includes free phone support, after which you may be charged if you call for technical support. However, you may not need to call, as the company offers robust support on its website.

HP PageWide Enterprise Color Flow MFP 586z is a color copying solution designed to help larger SMBs streamline costs. It's a multifunction printer, allowing users to print, scan, copy and fax from a single machine. Many small businesses may find it to be a great balance between speed, cost and quality.

The Enterprise Color Flow is, without a doubt, incredibly fast. According to HP, it prints up to 75 pages per minute, the fastest printer in our reviews, with a first page coming out in 7.3 seconds. It can create color copies at an impressive speed of 50 per minute. Its monthly printing duty cycle can take you up to 80,000 pages. This is the fastest color copier we've reviewed for small businesses. If speed is important to you and you produce high volumes daily, then it may be smart to take a closer look at this color copier. Another time-saving and cost-saving feature is the built-in duplexing.

The Enterprise Color Flow is SMB-friendly, but it has several features that would suit a small enterprise too. For example, HP has enhanced its usability features for this machine beyond a basic digital touchscreen, which is becoming standard for digital copiers. Its touchscreen includes a pull-out keyboard. This means you can punch in data on the fly or take scans and turn them into editable text. Plus, users can print wirelessly from any device. Applications such as HP ePrint, Apple AirPrint and Google Cloud Print 2.0 make it easy.

It also includes advanced security features. The most notable is in its inkjet cartridges: The only cartridges you can use with it are the ones with an embedded HP chip. No other cartridges will work. Also, data flowing through this color copier is protected with 256-bit encryption. HP JetAdvantage Security Manager allows you to set security policies for an entire fleet to ensure compliance. Additionally, you can authenticate users using many methods, such as PIN codes and badge readers. Not only does this help control color copier access, it may mitigate costs from unnecessary printing and copying.

Some businesses may find it inconvenient to have to use specific HP ink cartridges for this printer. They may find it limiting when it comes time to shop for supplies.

Additionally, the 500-sheet input tray is on the smaller end for businesses with high-volume demands. These businesses may find themselves reloading paper daily. This may not be a deal-breaker, but it's an inconvenience.
