Company name: TruFusion
Website: www.trufusion.com
Founded: 2013

Co-founder and executive vice president of fitness Martin Hinton shared the story behind TruFusion, a company that offers fitness classes that blend various styles of exercise and dance.

This photo shows our “Hot Buddhi” yoga practice, which is a blend of yoga and Polynesian dance. We bring together a multitude of different disciplines and exercises, like Pilates, yoga, barre, spin, bootcamp, kettlebells and more in rooms heated to 104 degrees, so participants are pushed mentally and physically to find their edge.

TruFusion was founded because of the experience I had while I was living in Hawaii and training emergency responders. Getting them prepared required so many different disciplines.  Bringing together yoga, Pilates, kettlebells and boot camp helped to bring out the best in each person and allowed them to achieve goals they didn't realize they could reach.  Now that we have added additional disciplines like barre, spin, battle ropes and aerial yoga at TruFusion, it means our members can be challenged every day without ever getting bored.

We are also very focused on the culture of our studio. Our members call themselves the “TruTribe" and all of our classes are really ceremonial and meaningful. We try to give everyone a complete mind and body experience.

As we continue to grow and expand across the country, our biggest challenge is finding and training the best instructors, since we want all of our classes to be led by amazing, highly motivating, passionate people. We are constantly training new instructors, which takes more than 1,000 hours. It's essential that they're all knowledgeable, determined and ready to inspire others.
