Company name: Jewels For Hope
Co-owner Stevie Lynn shared the story behind Jewels For Hope, a handcrafted jewelry business that works with charity organizations.
This is a photo of one of our hand-woven heart pendants. Jewels For Hope is all about showing love through our jewelry creations. Every item we have is made by myself or my mother Sandy, and we pour our hearts into each creation. We make everything from funky spike pieces to classic pearls.
My mother, Sandy, was a caregiver to my grandmother for almost a decade. During that time she started creating jewelry and giving the pieces she made to the hospice nurses who came to the house. That inspired my mother to sell her creations and donate a portion of the profits to hospice. I then joined my mother, and since then we've started donating to more than 20 organizations.
One of the biggest challenges we face is actually sitting down doing the business end of things. We're both two very creative people and would rather spend all of our time creating new pieces.
Jewels For Hope is a part of an amazing organization known as The Artisan Group which helps handmade businesses get their products on screen and in the hands of celebrities. We've had our creations worn by actors on several TV shows including "Bones," "The Night Shift," and "Pretty Little Liars."
