Yahoo is making it easier for small business owners to keep tabs on their e-commerce websites.

This week, the online giant launched its Yahoo Live Web Insights, a free new mobile app that lets online business owners manage their websites while on the go.

With the mobile app, online business owners can view customers on their website, the pages they're browsing, and products they're viewing and buying. They can also chat with their customers through the app, to answer their questions and provide recommendations.

The new app, which is currently only available for iPhone and iPod touch, isn't just for existing Yahoo Small Business, which offers web hosting, e-commerce, local marketing and domain services. Anyone can use it to get connected to his or her online business.

Rajat Mukherjee, head of e-commerce for Yahoo Small Business, said online business owners can use the app to better understand customer analytics.

"By viewing how customers interact with your website and products, you'll get more insight into how your site is being used, which can help you increase conversions," Mukherjee wrote on the company's blog.

The new Yahoo Live Web Insights app also gives online business owners access to additional services and marketing tools through Yahoo Commerce Central that can help them find new customers, increase sales and help grow their store.
