LG G Pad 8.3: Top 3 Business Features

The LG G Pad 8.3 is a portable tablet for the multitasking business user. The Android tablet features a compact design, a sharp display and a fast processor. Plus, its special software features allow you to run multiple apps on-screen at the same time, so you can multitask on the go. In addition, an aluminum backside gives the G Pad 8.3 a more premium feel than some competing slates. But at $299, it's significantly pricier than tablets such Google's 7-inch Nexus 7, which starts at $229. Check out afull review of the LG G Pad 8.3 on our sister site Laptop Mag, and then read on for three features that make it good for business.

Multitasking features

With LG's productivity-boosting QSlide feature, you can open a second app in a smaller window that floats over the top of any other app. Users can resize the floating app, drag it around the screen and tweak its transparency to get a better view of the app underneath. You can't run every app in QSlide mode, but all the basics are there, including a Web browser, calendar, calculator, SMS messenger and more. You can also minimize a QSlide app by dragging the window to the side of the screen.

Fast performance

LG's tablet packs a speedy quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, so business users can expect smooth performance for most productivity tasks. The extra power will also help you launch and close apps quickly to take full advantage of the built-in multitasking features. Another hardware highlight is the inclusion of a microSD card slot to expand the tablet's 16GB of onboard storage.

Sharp display

The G Pad 8.3 packs one of the sharpest displays of any 8-inch Android tablet. Its high resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixelswill come in handy for business users who want to multitask on the tablet's relatively compact screen.
