BusinessNewsDaily asked several “flash sale” website owners why they think the business model is poised to take off.
This business model is the way of the future because of the volume of products or services sold, it has the ability to cover a small business' fixed costs.

Flash sale businesses are becoming more popular because there will always be distressed inventory, no matter the economy. In the hotel world, there are off-seasons, where filling rooms is much harder. There is always a reason to sell anything at a highly discounted price, and flash sales offer a great opportunity to do so.

[Vendors like flash sales because] they get the chance to put their product in front of a large audience, generating enormous awareness, traffic, sales , etc., with no expense and little to no risk.

With "flash sale" sites, there is a time urgency and scarcity forces working. If you do not purchase, the "flash sale" site may run out of stock, and if you delay too long the item may no longer be for sale. In return, the customer gets much lower prices than they would normally be offered and opportunities to purchase products they may not otherwise have.

Flash sales sites have found success because [they] create a loyal customer base that is basically trained to return to the site every day, at the same time (and invite friends to join them).
