Know a top Twitterer? You have until Dec. 18 to submit a nominee for the 3rd Annual Business-To-Business Twitterer of the Year Awards, which honor “individuals and organizations for outstanding contributions in practicing, promoting, and/or enhancing business using Twitter.”
“This isn’t a social media popularity contest,” said Joe Zuccaro, the competition’s founder.
“These awards are not about how often you tweet. They’re about integrating a revolutionary social tool into the daily operation of your business and using it to evolve your company into a more social enterprise that serves your audience.”
In a recent blog post, Zuccaro said it’s important for B2B peers to recognize B2B companies and professionals who use Twitter to improve relationships within their communities.
“These awards only go to qualified, deserving nominees” Zuccaro said. “The judging panel is full of experienced industry veterans,” including Chris Herbert, founder and CMP of Mi6; Galen DeYoung, managing director of Proteus B2B; and Antonio Altamirano, founder of Tangelo.
Judges accept nominations only via tweet on the contest’s website (pictured below).
Winners will be announced in early February 2011.
