Small Business Owner Says Obama Can Improve the Economy

To get a pulse of how small business owners will be voting in the election, BusinessNewsDaily spoke with several business owners to see which issues are most important to them and who they will be voting for on Election Day.  

Derrick Parks is the CEO of Metropolitan Protective Services, a physical security firm that secures government, commercial, residential, and local clients.  Metropolitan Protective Services offers a number of services including security training, surveillance and protection. Metropolitan Protective Services has 150 total employees and is based in Lanham, Md.

BusinessNewsDaily: Which candidate will you vote for?

Derrick Parks: Iwill be voting for President Obama.

BND: What issues are most important to you as a business owner?

DP: As a business owner, the issue that is most important to me is keeping cost down.

BND: Do you believe that any president can help improve the economy?

DP: Yes, I do believe the President can improve the economy along with Congress and strong business leaders.

BND: Do you think that either candidate has a real plan for improving things for your business?

DP: No, I don’t believe either candidate has a real plan that improves my business directly.

BND: What do you think of Obamacare and how does it affect your business?

DP: I believe Obamacare is a step in the right direction. As for the benefits of my business regarding Obamacare it would help employees of the firm.
