A new Small Business Administration tool helps small businesses find new customers and compare their own performance against that of their competition.
The free tool, called SizeUp, allows users to collect data about either their own business or competition in an attempt to help them make more educated business decisions. Users can go to the SizeUp website, choose their industry and enter information about their company. SizeUp will then collect data from hundreds of public and private sources to help small businesses understand where opportunities exist.

"SizeUp empowers businesses to make smarter choices by providing many of the same demographic, industry, business, geographic, competitiveness, and cost-of-business data that huge corporations use every day," said SizeUp’s CEO, Anatalio Ubalde. "We’re pleased that SizeUp can now help over a million small businesses that visit SBA.gov each month."
The mapping service shows businesses where potential customers and suppliers are located. Additionally SizeUp also provides small business owners with advertising reports to help them determine where the best places to advertise.
