The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) is offering a free webinar to help small business owners keep up with changing W-2 and 1099 reporting requirement.
The webinar will be held on Wednesday (June 8) at 12 p.m. EST.
Some of the recent changes in compliance and regulation for 2011 include:
- W-2 includes new codes for reporting ROTH contributions and the cost of employer-sponsored health coverage .
- New Electronic Filing Mandates require e-file if your business has more than 250 W-2s or 1099s (per form type)
- Increased Penalties for non-compliance
The free webinar will cover these changes and help you know how to plan for reporting management. It will also cover solutions for small business reporting, including helpful forms, software and online services.
All participants in the webinar will receive a free informational booklet, How to Prepare Your W-2, 1099 & 941 forms. The booklet contains all IRS and SSA requirements and rules for filing wage and information forms.
The webinar will be led by Janice Krueger of Greatland Corporation.
